Colleen's Going to Be a Mommy!

I met Colleen because we were both Province Officers in SAI.  I remember meeting her at one of our trainings, and how exciting it was to see that we had very similar wedding anniversaries.  I wish I had pictures of us from those days!  After our training, we kept in touch often and tried to see each other at SAI functions whenever we could.

I'm SO excited that she will soon join the privileged ranks of motherhood...and I can't wait to see what a beautiful baby she will have, after waiting so long to have one of her own!  She's going to be such an amazing mom!

Having a little one myself (he shares a birthday with him!), here are the few things I've learned:

• You will experience every possible emotion there is to have, in extreme, once your baby is born--the positive and the not-so-positive.  And they're all okay and right to have.
• Everyone's going to offer you an opinion on how to raise your baby, but the only correct one is yours.
• Never pay full price for anything baby-related. :)
• Stock up on TV series to watch on Hulu or Netflix or DVD for those late nights.
• Tell Scott he's a good daddy and a good husband--often.  He needs to hear it.
• Baby slings are amazing!
• YOU are an amazing mom!  If you have trouble seeing this for yourself, recruit others to help remind you.  And if all else fails, when your little girl smiles at you for the first time, you'll know. :)

I love you and I can't wait to welcome your little one, even if I can't do it in person!
